Static proxy use cases: six business jobs that need one fixed IP

Last updated: · 5 min read

Quick answer

What are static proxies used for?

Static proxy use cases at SteadyProxy are business jobs that need the same IP for weeks: B2B allowlisted access, agency client accounts, your own e-commerce seller accounts, ad verification, SEO rank tracking and geolocation QA. As of October 2026, one ISP IP costs $2.24 and one datacenter IP $1.34 for 30 days, paid in crypto with no KYC.

Which proxy type does each use case need?

The table gives our usual starting point. Prices are for 30 days, as of October 2026.

How many IPs does each use case need?

Count one IP per account, client, market or allowlist entry. Three examples:

  • An agency that manages 8 client accounts needs 8 ISP IPs. The 10-IP plan ($20.86) leaves 2 IPs for clients signed during the month.
  • A QA team testing 9 countries needs 9 IPs, one per country, or 18 if it tests ISP and datacenter IPs side by side.
  • A team that reaches 3 partner APIs needs 2 datacenter IPs: one primary and one backup on each allowlist.

The how many static IPs guide gives the full method. Prices for every quantity are on the pricing page.

What do all six use cases have in common?

All six need an address that stays the same for weeks. Each IP is fixed for its 30-day rental. Billed per IP and per 30 days, not per GB; fair use applies. Renewal is manual, from your balance, before the end date. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time and check your IP list after renewing. Availability varies by country; the checkout shows what is online. The countries with their own page are the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. If your job needs a new IP for every request instead, read static vs rotating residential proxies: SteadyProxy sells static IPs only.

What is not a use case for SteadyProxy?

Anything that breaks a target's rules or our acceptable use policy is not a use case. Blocked targets: Banking, government, payment-portal and ticketing sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587. We also refuse creating or running extra accounts on a platform, fake engagement, reviews or orders, bulk email, credential attacks and ticket purchases. Abuse reports are reviewed by a person, and confirmed abuse leads to suspension.

What else do buyers ask?

Can one static IP serve several use cases?

Yes, if the jobs do not conflict. One datacenter IP can sit on three partner allowlists and also run geolocation checks of your own site. Do not reuse a client's IP for another client, or a seller account's IP for a second store: keep one IP per account so each login history stays separate.

What is the smallest order to try a use case?

One IP. An ISP IP costs $2.24 and a datacenter IP $1.34 for 30 days. The top-up minimum is $25; the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request within 30 days, in USDT or USDC, if unspent. The rest stays on your balance for the next order.

Do I need ISP proxies for IP allowlisting?

Usually not. An allowlist compares the exact source address, so a dedicated datacenter IP at $1.34 does the job. Choose ISP only when the same IP also logs in to consumer platforms that treat hosting networks with extra checks. The B2B allowlisting use case explains both options.

Does SteadyProxy sell rotating proxies for large data jobs?

No. SteadyProxy rents static ISP and dedicated datacenter IPs only, per IP for 30 days. Large public-data jobs that need thousands of different IPs for a short time fit rotating residential proxies, which other vendors sell per GB. Our static vs rotating comparison explains where each one fits.

Which countries can I use for these jobs?

We publish pages for the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and also rent IPs in the United States. Availability varies by country; the checkout shows what is online. A city can be chosen only when the checkout lists it; otherwise the IP is allocated in the country you pick.

What happens if a target blocks my IP during a use case?

Stop sending requests to that target first. A block often means the target does not accept your traffic, and our policy requires you to respect that. If the IP does not work at all, If an IP does not work, write to support: we repair it or replace it with another IP in the same country when stock allows. Write to support with the IP and the time of the problem.
