Quick answer
Do social media agencies need static proxies?
Static proxies for social media agencies give each client account the agency manages one stable IP for weeks, in the client's country. SteadyProxy rents ISP IPs for $2.24 each, or $20.86 for 10, per 30 days as of October 2026, paid in crypto with no KYC. The rule is one client account, one IP, used only to manage that client's existing account.
What are the key facts?
| Rule | One IP per client account you manage for that client |
|---|---|
| Proxy type | ISP (static residential): IPs registered to consumer ISPs, hosted in datacenters |
| 10 clients | $20.86 for 10 ISP IPs / 30 days |
| Allocation | Each static IP is rented to one customer for the whole 30-day period; reselling or sharing access with third parties is not allowed |
| Country | The client's market; Availability varies by country; the checkout shows what is online |
| Replacement | If an IP does not work, write to support: we repair it or replace it with another IP in the same country when stock allows |
| Proxy login | Username and password, or an IP allowlist (up to 10 IPs) |
Why does an agency want one stable IP per client account?
A stable IP keeps each client's login history consistent. Social platforms record where each login comes from. A login from a new country or network can trigger a security check, such as a code sent to the client's phone. If the agency's staff log in from three home connections and one office, the account sees four networks a week. With one fixed IP in the client's country, it sees one. Example: an agency in Lisbon that manages a Dubai restaurant's account uses a UAE IP.
How should an agency set it up, client by client?
Set it up in six steps:
- Get the client's written authorization to manage the account (contract or email).
- Use the platform's own partner tools first, such as Meta Business Suite roles or LinkedIn Page admin roles. They give access without sharing passwords.
- Where a direct login is still needed, assign one IP per client, in the client's country.
- Create one browser profile per client and tie it to that IP. See the browser setup guide.
- Keep a sheet: client, account, IP, country, end date.
- Renew before the end date. Renewal is manual, from your balance, before the end date. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time and check your IP list after renewing.
How many IPs does an agency need, and what does it cost?
One IP per client account. Prices for 30 days, as of October 2026.
| Client accounts | Plan | Price for 30 days |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 ISP IP | $2.24 |
| Up to 5 | 5 ISP IPs | $10.88 |
| Up to 10 | 10 ISP IPs | $20.86 |
| Up to 25 | 25 ISP IPs | $50.46 |
| Up to 50 | 50 ISP IPs | $70.88 |
The price per IP never rises with quantity. A 10-IP plan for 8 clients leaves 2 IPs for clients signed during the month.
Should an agency choose ISP or datacenter IPs?
Choose ISP IPs for client logins on consumer platforms, because some platforms add checks for hosting-network IPs. Choose datacenter IPs ($1.34 each) for back-office tools: a scheduling tool's admin panel, an analytics dashboard or a client's allowlisted CMS. ISP (static residential) IPs are registered to consumer internet service providers but run on servers in datacenters, not on home devices. The ISP vs residential vs datacenter comparison explains the difference.
What should an agency not do with these IPs?
Do not use the IPs for anything other than managing a client's existing account for that client. In particular:
- do not create or run extra accounts, for a client or for the agency;
- do not produce fake likes, follows, comments or reviews;
- do not use an IP to return to a platform after a suspension;
- do not give the proxy credentials to clients: Each static IP is rented to one customer for the whole 30-day period; reselling or sharing access with third parties is not allowed;
- do not reach blocked targets: Banking, government, payment-portal and ticketing sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587.
Abuse reports are reviewed by a person, and confirmed abuse leads to suspension. Read the acceptable use policy before you order.
What else do buyers ask?
Do social platforms allow agencies to manage client accounts?
Most large platforms offer official partner or admin roles for agencies, and those are the first choice. Platform terms differ and change, and a proxy does not change them. SteadyProxy makes no promise about how a platform treats any login. Use the IP to keep a client's existing account consistent, not to work around a rule.
Can two clients share one IP?
They can, but we advise against it. If a platform reviews one account, it may look at other accounts seen from the same IP, and an unrelated client could be affected. One IP per client costs $2.24 a month at most per client, and less on larger plans.
What if a client is in a country without a page on this site?
Check the checkout first. Availability varies by country; the checkout shows what is online. We publish pages for the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and we also rent United States IPs. If the client's country is not offered, use the nearest market the client approves.
What happens if a client's IP stops working mid-month?
Write to support with the IP and the time of the failure. If an IP does not work, write to support: we repair it or replace it with another IP in the same country when stock allows. A replacement is a new address, so update your client sheet and expect one security check on the client's account at the next login. Tell the client in advance.
Does the client keep the same IP after 30 days?
Renewal is manual, from your balance, before the end date. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time and check your IP list after renewing. Renew a few days before the end date shown in the dashboard. If the IP changes, record the new one and tell the client that the next login may ask for a code.
Can the client use the agency's proxy too?
No. Each static IP is rented to one customer for the whole 30-day period; reselling or sharing access with third parties is not allowed. The client logs in from its own connection; the agency logs in through its rented IP. If the client needs its own fixed IP, the client can rent one with its own account.
Can I pay for each client separately?
Yes. Each order is per IP, so you can buy a 1-IP plan per client. The top-up is the plan's exact price, or $25 for a smaller plan, and what is left stays on your balance for the next client. Many agencies buy a 10-IP plan at $20.86 instead.
