Quick answer
How do I get a static IP for B2B allowlisted access?
A static IP for B2B allowlisted access gives your team one fixed source address that a partner's firewall, SaaS admin panel or API can allowlist. SteadyProxy rents dedicated datacenter IPs from $1.34 and ISP IPs from $2.24 per 30 days, as of October 2026, paid in crypto with no KYC. You send the allowlisted traffic through the proxy, and the partner sees that one IP.
What are the key facts?
| Usual choice | Dedicated datacenter IP: an allowlist checks the address, not the network type |
|---|---|
| Price | $1.34 per datacenter IP or $2.24 per ISP IP, 30 days |
| Recommended set-up | 2 IPs on each partner allowlist: one primary, one backup |
| Proxy login | Username and password, or an IP allowlist (up to 10 IPs) |
| Protocols | HTTP, HTTPS (CONNECT) and SOCKS5 |
| Renewal | Renewal is manual, from your balance, before the end date. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time and check your IP list after renewing |
| Blocked targets | Banking, government, payment-portal and ticketing sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587 |
When does a team need a static IP for allowlisted access?
A team needs one when a B2B service accepts connections only from listed source IPs and the team has no fixed office IP. Typical cases:
- a SaaS admin console with an "allowed IP addresses" setting;
- a partner's REST API that accepts calls from registered IPs only;
- a client's staging server or SFTP endpoint behind a firewall;
- scripts in cloud functions whose own outgoing IP changes.
Six remote staff on six home connections mean six allowlist entries, updated each time a home IP changes. Through the proxy, the partner keeps one or two entries for 30 days.
Which IP should the partner add to its allowlist?
The partner adds the exit IP that its server sees, not the proxy hostname and not your own IP. Check it in four steps:
- Open your IP list in the dashboard. Your IP list (host, port, username, password, country, end date) appears in your dashboard once the IPs are allocated.
- Request
https://api.ipify.orgthrough the proxy and note the address it returns. - Send that address to the partner as a single entry (a /32).
- Make one test call to the partner's service through the proxy.
The step-by-step setup for browsers, scripts and firewalls is in our IP allowlisting how-to guide. This page covers when and why a fixed IP fits.
Datacenter or ISP IP: which one fits allowlisting?
A dedicated datacenter IP fits most allowlists, because the partner compares the exact address. It costs $1.34 for 30 days, and 10 IPs cost $12.69. Choose an ISP IP ($2.24) only when the same address must also log in to consumer platforms that add checks for hosting networks. Read ISP vs residential vs datacenter proxies for the difference. Both types are on the pricing page.
How do the two allowlists differ?
There are two separate lists. Our side controls who may use the proxy: Username and password, or an IP allowlist (up to 10 IPs). The partner's side controls which addresses may reach its service. Example: you put your office IP and two laptop IPs on our list, and the partner puts the proxy's exit IP on its list. A change to one list never changes the other. Keep both in your runbook.
What happens at the end of the 30 days?
Each rental ends on the end date shown in your dashboard. Renewal is manual, from your balance, before the end date. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time and check your IP list after renewing. To avoid a lockout, renew a few days before the end date, then compare the IP list with the partner's allowlist. Keep a second IP registered as a backup: if the primary changes after renewal or a repair, the backup keeps access open while the partner adds the new address. If an IP fails: If an IP does not work, write to support: we repair it or replace it with another IP in the same country when stock allows.
What should you not do with an allowlisted static IP?
Do not use it for targets our policy blocks: Banking, government, payment-portal and ticketing sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587. So a bank API, a payment-provider dashboard or a government portal cannot be reached through the proxy, even if it offers allowlisting. Also:
- do not give the proxy credentials to the partner or a third party: Each static IP is rented to one customer for the whole 30-day period; reselling or sharing access with third parties is not allowed;
- do not add the IP to a service you are not authorized to use;
- do not treat the allowlist as the only control: keep API keys and two-factor login.
The full rules are in the acceptable use policy.
What else do buyers ask?
Can one static IP be allowlisted by several partners?
Yes. One exit IP can sit on the allowlists of several services you are authorized to use. Use separate IPs when a contract asks you to keep each client's traffic apart, or when one partner must not see your traffic to another. The 10-IP datacenter plan costs $12.69 for 30 days.
Will the partner see that the IP belongs to a proxy?
The partner sees the IP and the network it is registered to. A datacenter IP shows a hosting network; an ISP IP shows a consumer internet provider. For an allowlist this does not matter: the rule matches the address. Tell the partner it is your team's fixed proxy IP, so their records are accurate.
Can I send SFTP or SSH traffic through the proxy?
SFTP and SSH run over TCP, so a client that supports SOCKS5 can send them through the proxy. Our protocols: HTTP, HTTPS (CONNECT) and SOCKS5. Outgoing email is not possible, because SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587 are closed. Test the connection once before you rely on it.
The partner wants a range, not single IPs. What do I send?
Send single addresses (/32 entries). Several IPs in one order can share the same /24 subnet; subnet diversity is not guaranteed. A range such as a /24 would also cover IPs rented to other customers, so it would weaken the partner's control. Two single IPs, primary and backup, are safer.
Can I choose the country of the allowlisted IP?
Yes, at checkout, within the stock online. Availability varies by country; the checkout shows what is online. Some partners accept only IPs from their own country; check that before you order. We publish pages for 9 countries, including Germany and the United Kingdom, and we also rent United States IPs.
How soon can I give the IP to the partner?
As soon as it appears in your dashboard. Your IP list (host, port, username, password, country, end date) appears in your dashboard once the IPs are allocated. We do not promise a delivery time, so order before the partner's deadline. Payment is in crypto: send the exact amount shown, click "I've sent the payment", and the top-up is credited once confirmed.
Is this page the same as the IP allowlisting guide?
No. This page explains when a business needs a static IP for allowlisted access and which plan fits. The IP allowlisting guide is the technical how-to: where to enter the IP, how to test it, and how to set up our own proxy-side allowlist of up to 10 IPs.
