How long does a static proxy last? Rental, renewal and IP lifetime

Three different clocks: the rental, the session of your tool, and the life of the IP itself. Here is what each one means for planning.

Quick answer

How long does a static proxy last?

How long does a static proxy last? At SteadyProxy, each static IP is rented for 30 days and stays fixed for that whole period. Renewal is manual, from your balance, before the end date. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time. No provider can promise that an IP lasts for ever: the network that holds the range decides in the end. What are the key facts about static IP lifetime?

Rental period30 days per IP
During the rentalThe IP stays fixed; it does not rotate
End dateShown for each IP in your dashboard IP list
RenewalRenewal is manual, from your balance, before the end date. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time and check your IP list after renewing
If an IP stops workingIf an IP does not work, write to support: we repair it or replace it with another IP in the same country when stock allows
Price per 30 days$2.24 for 1 ISP IP; $1.34 for 1 datacenter IP

What is the difference between rental length, session length and IP lifetime?

They are three separate clocks. The rental is the paid period: 30 days per IP at SteadyProxy. The session is how long your own tool keeps a login, a cookie or a TCP connection; it can be minutes or weeks and has nothing to do with the proxy. The IP lifetime is how long that address stays with the network that holds it, which can be years. A static proxy guarantees the first clock only: the IP does not change during the paid rental.

What happens at the end of the 30 days?

If you renew before the end date, the rental continues for another 30 days. Renewal is manual, from your balance, before the end date. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time and check your IP list after renewing. If you do not renew, the rental ends and the IP is no longer reserved for you; it may be rented to another customer later. Renewal costs the current plan price from your balance; top-ups are in crypto, from $25, with no KYC. Set a reminder a few days before each end date, and keep enough balance for the renewal.

Can a static IP change before the end date?

It should not, and a change is treated as a fault. Three events can still affect an IP during a rental. The upstream network can withdraw or renumber a range. A technical fault can take the IP offline. Confirmed abuse leads to suspension: Abuse reports are reviewed by a person, and confirmed abuse leads to suspension. In the first two cases, contact support. If an IP does not work, write to support: we repair it or replace it with another IP in the same country when stock allows. We publish no failure rate, because we have no audited figure to share.

How do I plan for an IP change?

Assume that any IP can change one day, and make the change cheap. Keep a list of which IP serves which account or allowlist. Add a backup IP to every allowlist that matters. Run the hourly static IP test after each renewal to confirm the exit IP. Keep the logins of your accounts independent from one IP, so that a replacement does not lock you out. Does a static IP wear out after months of use?

Not by age; by behaviour. Sites judge an IP by the traffic it sends and by the data of reputation vendors. An IP used gently for one account can stay in good standing for months. An IP that sends many fast requests can be rate-limited within hours, whatever its age. IPv4 addresses are also reused across customers over the years, so an IP may carry history from before your rental. Check your target sites in the first hours after delivery.

What else do people ask about static IP lifetime?

Can I rent a static IP for longer than 30 days?

Yes, by renewing before each end date. Every renewal adds 30 days at the plan price. Keeping the same IP after the end date is not guaranteed, so renew on time and check your IP list after renewing. Every plan runs for 30 days; there is no longer prepaid term.

Does my static IP change if I do not use it?

No. The rental runs on calendar days, not on traffic. An IP you do not use for a week stays assigned to you until its end date. Billing is per IP and per 30 days, not per GB, so idle days cost nothing extra. Billed per IP and per 30 days, not per GB; fair use applies.

What happens to my IP if I forget to renew?

At the end date the rental stops and the IP is no longer reserved for you. It may be rented to another customer later, and getting it back is not guaranteed. Your unused balance stays on your account and never expires, so you can order a new IP at any time from the pricing page.

How long do sessions last on a static proxy?

As long as your tool keeps them. The proxy does not end a login or a cookie; a static IP simply keeps the same address under it. Long-lived TCP connections can still drop for network reasons, so build reconnects into scripts. Sessions on target sites expire under their own rules.

How do I know when my IP rental ends?

Your dashboard lists each IP with its host, port, username, password, country and end date. Export or copy that list into your own inventory, with the account or allowlist each IP serves. Then set a reminder a few days before the earliest end date and renew from your balance.

Is the IP replaced if it gets blocked by a website?

A block by one website is not a fault of the IP, so it is not a replacement case. Replacement covers IPs that do not work. If an IP does not work, write to support: we repair it or replace it with another IP in the same country when stock allows. If a target blocks your IP, slow down and review your traffic, or order an extra IP for that task.
