**Quick answer — What can I use SteadyProxy static proxies for?**

**SteadyProxy** static IPs are for legitimate work: running your own or your clients' business accounts on one stable IP each, IP allowlisting, local price, ad and SERP checks, QA and light public-data collection. Fraud, spam, account takeover, attacks and mass account creation are forbidden. Banking, government, payment-portal and ticketing sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587 are blocked. Updated 19 October 2026.

## What is SteadyProxy for?

Static IPs fit work that needs the same address for days or weeks. Allowed uses include:

- Managing your own business accounts, or your clients' accounts with their permission, with one stable IP per account.
- Running your own seller accounts on online marketplaces.
- Checking local prices, ads and search results (SERP) as they appear in a country, and tracking SEO rankings.
- B2B IP allowlisting: giving a firewall, a SaaS admin panel or an API partner one fixed source IP.
- QA and geolocation testing of your own websites and apps.
- Light collection of public data with long sessions, at a moderate rate, within each site's terms and robots.txt.
- Privacy for your own browsing on sites you are entitled to use.

## What is forbidden?

You may not use SteadyProxy for any of the following:

- Fraud of any kind, including payment or card fraud, identity theft and fake orders.
- Spam, phishing or any bulk unsolicited messages.
- Credential stuffing, password guessing or any login with credentials that are not yours.
- Account takeover, or access to accounts, systems or data you are not entitled to.
- Mass creation of accounts, fake sign-ups, and promotion or bonus abuse.
- Ticket scalping, or buying up limited goods with automated tools.
- Getting around payment fraud checks, bank security or other anti-fraud controls.
- Denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, vulnerability scans of systems you do not own, malware distribution or traffic meant to overload a service.
- Fake clicks, impressions, views, votes, reviews or engagement.
- Collecting personal data you have no legal right to process.
- Content or activity that is illegal where you are, where the target is or in the United States, including any sexual content involving minors.
- Reselling access or sharing your IPs with third parties. Each static IP is rented to one customer for the whole 30-day period; reselling or sharing access with third parties is not allowed.

We may refuse or suspend service in case of abuse, fraud or a legal obligation. The service is not available in countries and regions under comprehensive sanctions.

## Which targets are blocked?

Banking, government, payment-portal and ticketing sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587 are blocked on every IP. This covers online banking, government services, payment portals and ticketing sites, plus outgoing email on SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587. You cannot send email through a SteadyProxy IP. The list can grow when a target owner asks us, or when a category of site is abused. A blocked request fails on purpose; it is not a fault of the IP and gives no right to a refund.

## What do we expect from you?

- Follow the law that applies to you and to the sites you reach, and each site's terms of use.
- Keep request rates modest, respect robots.txt, and stop when a site refuses automated access. Use its official API or data feed instead.
- Keep your account number and the username and password of each IP private. You are responsible for all traffic sent through your IPs.
- Use the IPs within fair use. Billed per IP and per 30 days, not per GB; fair use applies.
- Answer our questions if we contact you about a report.

## How are reports and breaches handled?

Abuse reports are reviewed by a person, and confirmed abuse leads to suspension. Depending on the facts, we may warn you, block a target for your account, suspend an IP or close the account. When an account is terminated for abuse, its balance is not refunded and its rentals end without credit. We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities, as described in the [privacy policy](https://steadyproxy.com/privacy/). The connection metadata we keep for up to 30 days lets us link a report to an account; we do not log the content of your requests.

## How do I report abuse from a SteadyProxy IP?

Write to abuse@steadyproxy.com. Include the IP address, the exact date and time with the time zone, the target hostname and a short description of what happened. Server logs of the requests help more than screenshots. Report within 30 days, because connection metadata is deleted after that. Support questions go to support@steadyproxy.com.
